It will explore mechanisms to build trust, align national policies with global frameworks, and foster cross-sector engagement for inclusive digital transformation.

11:00 – 11:45 AMPresentation: Cybersecurity Policy & National CERT DevelopmentThis session will address South Sudan’s need for robust cybersecurity frameworks and a functional national CERT. It will also cover child online protection as an essential part of national digital safety, proposing integrated policy solutions for both infrastructure and vulnerable users.
11:45 AM – 12:30 PMBreakout 1: Universal Access & Digital RightsThis session explores how to ensure all South Sudanese, regardless of gender, geography, or income level, can access the internet affordably and safely. It will also highlight the importance of privacy, data protection, and advocacy for digital rights in policy-making.
11:45 AM – 12:30 PMBreakout 2: Cybersecurity, Digital Trust & MisinformationParticipants will examine the role of digital trust in building a safe internet environment. The session will tackle misinformation, discuss practical strategies for cyber hygiene, and explore policy mechanisms to enhance national cyber resilience and identity protection.

01:30 – 02:00 PMAI & Emerging Technologies in South SudanThis session will introduce how technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT) are shaping governance, economic development, and service delivery in South Sudan. It will explore their practical application and national readiness for adoption.
01:30 – 02:00 PMAI Governance and Ethical ConsiderationsThis session addresses the urgent need for ethical frameworks and governance models to regulate AI in South Sudan. Topics include algorithmic fairness, responsible innovation, and safeguards to ensure AI is inclusive and aligns with national development goals.
02:00 – 02:45 PMPanel Discussion 2: Digital Economy & e-Governance TransformationThis panel will explore how digital infrastructure, e-government systems, and FinTech can transform service delivery and economic inclusion in South Sudan.
