SS-IGF Secretariat
The South Sudan Internet Governance Forum (SS-IGF) Secretariat is the operational coordination team responsible for the planning, implementation, and day-to-day management of SS-IGF activities.
The Secretariat supports stakeholder engagement, event logistics, communications, documentation, and the publication of SS-IGF outcomes. It works closely with the SS-IGF Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG), partners, and stakeholders to ensure that SS-IGF remains inclusive, transparent, and aligned with national priorities and global IGF principles.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
The SS-IGF Secretariat is responsible for:
- Coordinating the planning and delivery of the annual SS-IGF Forum
- Supporting the development of the SS-IGF programme and thematic agenda
- Organizing stakeholder consultations and coordination meetings
- Supporting communications, publicity, and stakeholder outreach
- Coordinating event logistics and operational arrangements
- Supporting the South Sudan School on Internet Governance (SS-SIG) programme
- Documenting outcomes and producing official SS-IGF reports
- Strengthening partnerships and resource mobilization efforts
- Facilitating linkages with regional and global IGF processes
- Ensuring inclusive participation of women, youth, persons with disabilities, and underserved communities

Secretariat Entity and Partner Conveners
The SS-IGF process is coordinated through a multistakeholder convening structure. The Secretariat function is currently performed by Koneta Hub, which supports coordination, stakeholder engagement, programme support, and administrative facilitation for SS-IGF activities.
The SS-IGF process is further supported through partnership convening by the Internet Society (ISOC) South Sudan Chapter, which contributes to community mobilization, technical engagement, and capacity-building initiatives, including support to the South Sudan School on Internet Governance (SS-SIG).
